Argentina Canal replaces shiny red, dangerous local people

A waterway in a suburb of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, threatened the local people on Thursday.

The Sarandi Canal flows through a residential neighborhood and industrial areas before reaching the Rio de La Plata, a boundary of an ecological reserve.

Local media reports suggested that the color may be caused by dumping of textile dye or chemical waste from a nearby depot.

Authorities have taken samples to determine the source of contamination.
