American Postal Service stops accepting parcels from China and Hong Kong

The US Postal Service (USPS) says it has temporarily stopped accepting parcels from the mainland China and Hong Kong.
According to a statement on the company’s website, the letters will not be affected by suspension.
It said that the suspension would be “until the next notice” and no clarification for the decision.
The USPS did not immediately respond to the BBC news request for comments.
This comes after Donald Trump imposed an additional 10% tariff on all goods imported from China to America.
Trump’s executive order also eliminated a discount, allowing goods of $ 800 (£ 474) or less without paying duties or some taxes.
The so-called “de minimis” tax loopol faced an increase in investigation in recent years to reach millions of American customers as Chinese e-commerce giants such as Sheen and Temu.
US officials have stated that through this exemption, the major flow of parcel entering the country made them difficult to screen for possible illegal goods.
