Among the big telecom companies, Bharti Airtel’s Xstream Fiber users and postpaid mobile users will get access to the content library of Apple Tv+. This offer is for users using the tariff plan starting from Rs 999. For this, Airtel has tied-up with Apple.

Along with this, Airtel has become the only internet service provider to provide access to Apple’s streaming platform. Postpaid users of the company will also get free access of Apple Music for six months. Bharti Airtel said in a press release that it has rights to offer the services of Apple TV+ to its users. Users using a tariff plan of Rs 999 and above the company can see this content on their Wi-Fi. Airtel’s postpaid users will also get free access of Apple Music for six months along with Apple TV+.

Bharti Airtel’s Chief Marketing Officer, Siddharth Sharma said, “This tie-up will provide Apple’s premium content catalog to our millions of Wi-Fi users.” Recently, Airtel gave a contract to Nokia and Qualcomm to improve its 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and WiFi solutions. Under this contract, Manufacturing will be done in the country according to the ‘Make in India’ mission of Nokia’s 5G FWA and Wi-Fi 6 access points of Finland. However, the value of this contract has not been reported.

This will increase the availability of broadband in areas where fiber connectivity is not limited or available. Bharti Airtel will be supplied to Nokia its 5G FWA outdoor gateway receiver and Wi-Fi 6 access points. Qualcomm’s modem-RF and Wi-Fi 6 chipset will be used in these devices. Bharti Airtel has also prepared to increase the coverage of its 5G network. The company plans to increase coverage to meet the increasing demand for data. The company has also decided not to invest in 4G network. The company’s managing director, Gopal Vittal, said, “The expansion of 5G coverage is going on as per the plan. At the end of the last quarter we had a 5G base of 12 million subscribers.”
