AC/DC announces the first Scottish show in a decade

Rock Legends AC/DC has announced that they will play their first Scottish concert in a decade in this summer.

The group will play in 10 countries in 10 countries before concluding at the Murfield Stadium in Edinburgh on 21 August.

Formed in Australia in 1973, the band -born scottish -born members are a loyal Scottish fanbase through Bon Scott and Angus and Malcolm Young.

Fans last saw band on Scottish soil at Hampden Stadium in 2015 but the group continues Celebrated every year in Bonfest in Kirimir,

The Edinburgh show is the only performance that the band will offer in Britain with other dates across Europe starting in June.

Power Up Tour, named after Band’s latest studio album, was closed in the Czech Republic on 26 June.

This album is the first of the band after the death of Malcolm Young in 2017.

Prominent singer Brian Johnson first told BBC band A “big connection” with Scotland,

He said that when the band met again to work on the album, they really wanted to do something for Malcolm – just to be proud of him.

“He was the band,” he said. “He and Angus started it, but it was Malcolm’s idea. He was our spiritual leader.”

Malcolm and Angus Young were born and raised in Glasgow, which went to Australia in 1963.

A decade later, the first recurrence of AC/DC was created.

The line up went through several sequences, but stabilized around the young brothers, singer Bon Scott – which was born in Angus and Australia – drummer Phil Rud, and Basist Mark Evans also moved.

When Bon Scott died of alcohol poison in 1980, he was converted into the main singer by Brian Johnson.

The concert adds to the already busy line-up to Murfield in this summer Oasis set to perform three nights in August,

AC/DC has sold over 200 million albums worldwide and was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

Tickets for the band’s European show will be available from 10:00 on 7 February.
