Police say a man was raped in the center of Brighton
A 19-year-old man has been raped in the center of Brighton, according to police.
Authorities said the man was approached by two unidentified men near the Harry Ramsden restaurant in Old Steine at around 03:30 GMT on Saturday.
She was taken to Stein Lane by the men who allegedly raped her.
Det Inspector Sean Booth, of Sussex Police, described it as “an extremely worrying incident”.
Officers have released photographs of two men they want to speak to as Sussex Police continue to appeal for more information.
Det Inspector Booth said: “We are supporting the victim as our inquiries continue.
“Steyne Lane is an area with frequent traffic both day and night as it is a popular cut-through route linking East Street to Old Steine, and we know there were many people in the area at the time of the attack.
“I would urge anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area around that time, or anyone who recognizes the two men in these images, to please come forward.
“Your information may be vital as we work to identify those responsible.
“There is no place for sexual violence in Sussex, and we take any reports of this nature extremely seriously.”
