Man strangled the partner after being out at night

Victoria Thomas, 45, was found dead In the early hours of August 20, in a house in Carfili Road, Cardiff.

The court heard that on August 19, at around 23:00 BST, the defendant’s sister Laura Thomas received a lesson from Ms. Thomas’s phone, which was written by the defendant, saying that she had “done something very bad”.

Shortly after the call, the prosecution said that Ms. Woodgots received a call from the defendant on Ms. Thomas’s phone, stating that he was “just joking”.
After midnight, Ms. Woodgots and her friend Shane Sulivan went to Ms. Thomas’s house on Karfili Road, worried that she was not responding to her phone.
The gamblers heard that Ms. Thomas was found wearing a dressing gown on a bedroom floor on the top floor.
Mr. Thomas was found sleeping on a bed in a room on the middle floor. The defendant said that he had taken an overdose, the court heard.
He was arrested on suspicion of killing his partner and later accepted the mangelotter.
‘Sex went wrong’
Mr. Jones told the court that the defendant initially admitted Ms. Thomas strangling him, but he said “did not really mean to kill her”.
In a letter to his daughter, the defendant said: “Just you know that I did not kill Vicky, this sex was wrong”.
“They will explain that when you are older and ready. This means that I did nothing wrong, I did so and the price would have to be paid.”
Ending her initial statement, the prosecutor stated that Ms. Thomas was in a “weak situation”, when the defendant encountered and attacked him after one night of drinking heavy wine and taking cocaine, and was in a logical mode in texts on the way to the house “.
He said, “When she was facing this intoxicated and aggressive man, when a witness heard her shouting, the defendant really took matters into her own hands and murdered her,” he said.
