Russian officials say

Local authorities say at least two people have been killed and three injured have been injured in Moscow and surrounding areas overnight “large -scale” drone attacks.

Seven apartments were damaged in a residential building, which appears to be the largest drone attack on the Russian capital Ukraine, starting during the war.

Regional Governor Andrei Vorobeyev says that the number of casualties was outside the capital, in the cities of Widenoy and Domodedovo.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobianin says 74 drones leading to the city were shot. The roof of a building was damaged by drone debris, although Sobinin described the loss as “insignificant”.

He said that 12 people – including three children – were to be removed from their damaged flats after an overnight strike.

A district train network has now been suspended, and after the attack, flight restrictions were imposed on Moscow airports.

In a post on social media, Governor Vorobeyev published photos, showing one of a damaged apartment, and vehicles were burnt that looked like a car park in the Moscow region.

The attack comes only a few hours ahead A crunch meeting between representatives of the US and Ukraine in Saudi Arabia, Focused on ending the war between Russia and Ukraine.

The talks between Ukrainian representatives and US State Secretary Marco Rubio will have the first official meeting between Ukraine President Volodimier Zelansky and his American counterpart Donald Trump since last month’s fiery exchange at the White House.

Rubio suggested on Monday that, as part of an agreement to prevent war, Ukraine may have to abandon the region for Russia, saying that both sides need to understand that “there is no military solution to the situation”.

After the strike, flight restrictions were imposed at Moscow’s four major airports – Shermetevo, Domodedovo, Vannukovo, and Zukovski – as well as airports in Yaroslav and Nizhini Novgorod regions. These are the major transport hubs used by millions of passengers every year.

Citing the aviation regulator, flights at Shermetevo Airport have resumed in Russian media reports.

The Russian Ministry of Defense later stated that, overall, 337 Ukrainian drones were either intercepted or destroyed overnight in Moscow and nine other Russian areas, including chairs.

Ukraine has not publicly commented on the attack.

Overnight, Ukrainian authorities reported Russian drone attacks on the capital Kiev and many other areas.

Ukraine’s Air Force stated that it had shot 79 out of 126 drones launched by Russia, as well as a ballistic Iskander-M missile.

It states that one and 35 drones failed to reach their goals due to electronic warfare counterers, although it is not clear whether the other 12 killed their goals or not.

It was not immediately clear whether there were any casualties.
