Postman who puts many women in jail


A “disgusting” postman, who misused his position to hit many women, killed one of one of the victims, killed himself for six and a half years.
63 -year -old Michael Stewart targeted several women, while he was delivering in Northerlands, the Newcastle Crown Court heard.

Judge Robert Sprag said that when a suicide was involved in several factors, he was “satisfied” that the woman was a “direct result” that Stewart did.
The judge told Stewart, “If you had not treated him in this way, it is clear that she did not face serious psychological losses.”
The judge also said that insufficient response to the Royal Mail contributed to his crisis.

Another victim said that he felt crime, anger and sadness that “his two victims took their lives”.
She said that Stewart went away from a “good man who gave a post” and “a word and khuki smile” had “with someone, which I had to hide from” because I was scared “.
The woman said she was “disgusting” by Stewart, a grandfather who worked for the Royal Mail for 22 years, and she had “tainted life”.
The court heard that the woman complained to the Royal Mail that she sexually assaulted her, but after the initiative, she was soon kept back to her round.
‘Hidden in plain vision’
The second woman, who has been dead since then said that she “trusted” Stewart as “Royal Mail Person” and she “took advantage of her position”.
He said that he lowered his chest like a “baby in a sweetness”, so that his foot was closed inside his front door and preventing him from closing and grabbing his breast.
Judge Sprag said that this was Stewart’s “terrible list of misuse” against women alone for his “sexual satisfaction”.
He said that Stewart was popular and “hidden in plain vision behind an aspect of respect” and his victims were often afraid to report him due to his condition.
When he did, he was “not heard properly”, Judge Sprag said.
‘He was not upset’
One of his victims, whose identity cannot be revealed, reported that the BBC Stewart was initially “really good and friendly” and “always a joke”.
But one day, when handing him a package, he went to his house and grabbed his breast, he said.
He said that he had asked him to “stop”, but he “he was not even upset what he did”, saying: “He said that I wanted it. I was not.
“I did not encourage it.
“This is the bit that bothers me.”
The woman said that she complained to the Royal Mail but failed to inform the police and just “swept it under a rock”.
She is now seeking compensation from Royal Mail.
‘Trust’s misuse status’
Det Con Anthony Gourley stated that Stewart was a “calculation hunter” who “misused his position and subjugated his victims frightening”.
Praising the victims for his courage in coming forward, he said that it was sad that two of them did not live to see justice.
A spokesperson of the Royal Mail said: “These crimes were disgusting and important, and in cases tragic, results for victims.
“Stewart misused his position of faith.
“We would like to apologize to the victims, their families and others who were targeted.”
The firm said that the safety of other people was “extremely priority” and followed the recommendations of an independent review.
The spokesperson said, “We implemented changes in the organization,” a multi-year campaign on sexual harassment and culture in the workplace, including new internal reporting equipment and clear codes of conduct and expected behaviors. ,
A preventive order prohibited from contacting Stewart from contacting his three living victims was also made indefinitely.
