Hamas releases hostage names due to release on Saturday
Hamas has released the names of three hostages on Saturday after being freed in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israel, after the future of the ceasefire.
They are Russian-Israeli Alexander Trowfanov, Argentina-Israeli Yire Horn and US-Israel Sagui Dekele-Chain.
Israel has said that if the three are not released on time, it will resume the bombing. Hamas said that this was a warning after the ceasefire postponed the release in response to the alleged Israeli violation.
President Trump said that the ceasefire should be abolished if Hamas did not release all the hostages held in Gaza till noon on Saturday.
Since the ceasefire began on January 19, 16 Israel and five Thai hostages were released in exchange for 566 prisoners.
During the first six -week phase of the ceasefire, a total of 33 hostages in exchange for about 1,900 Palestinian prisoners and prisoners in Israel should be freed.
Hamas’s attack on Israel on 7 October 2023 began a war when gunmen killed around 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.
According to the Hamas-Interested Health Ministry of the region, since then more than 48,230 people have been killed in Gaza from Israel.
On 73 October, 73 hostages have been taken which are still being held in Gaza. There are also three other Israeli hostages – one of which is dead – which has been held in Gaza for a decade or more.
Alexander Trowfanov, 29, Yire Horn, 46, and 36-year-old Sagui Dekel-Chain, all were seized on the banks of Gaza with Kibutz Neer Oz.
Since the ceasefire began, each side has taken mutual action on alleged violations. Intensive attempts by mediators US, Egypt and Qatar have succeeded in preventing it from collapse.
