Infosys increased difficulty, central government’s strict attitude on workers trimmed

Infosys involved in large software companies may face difficulty due to freshers trimmed. The Ministry of Labor and Employment have directed the Labor Ministry of Karnataka to take necessary action to resolve the dispute of freshers in Infosys.

The Union Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES) of IT workers had earlier raised the issue of freshers trimmed in the Masuru Campus of Infosys in front of the Labor Ministry. The Labor Ministry has said, “The Karnataka government is requested to investigate the matter.” Last week, Infosys confirmed the trimming of around 300 freshers. The company had said that these workers could not pass internal tests. However, NITES has reported that Infosys has trimmed around 700 workers. These workers were joined by the company a few months ago.

NITES has stated that the dismissed freshers were forced to sign the agreement related to privacy, which is an attempt to hide details of the trimmed. NITES has expressed apprehension about this trimming and impact on the workers under its purview. In a letter to the Labor Ministry, the NITES said, “We have revealed from many complaints received by the affected workers that Infosys has forcibly dismissed the freshers who recently joined. After receiving the offer letter of these workers There was a delay of two years in joining. ”

However, Infosys had reported that workers who were dismissed could not pass internal tests. The company has said that this method is according to the agreement signed by workers during hiring. NITES says that the company has dismissed the workers from its Mysuru Campus without prior notices and compensation. After dismissing these workers, they were asked to leave the campus and used security guards and bouncers to intimidate them. Earlier, some software companies were accused of trimming workers without giving any strong reasons.
