Britain’s Defense Secretary warns, “There can be no conversation about Ukraine without Ukraine.

John Hele’s comments came before a NATO meeting of Defense Ministers at Brussels on Thursday after US President Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin agreed to start a conversation to end the war.

Talking to reporters, Heela said: “We have seen calls from President Trump overnight and we don’t want to see any return in a sustainable peace and struggle.”

But he said that Russia “is a threat beyond Ukraine”.

In a post on his true social platform, Trump said that he and the Russian President “agreed to our respective teams to start negotiations immediately”.

He did not set a date for a face-to-face meeting with Putin, but later told reporters at the White House: “We will meet in Saudi Arabia.” He wrote that on social media, the pair had also invited each other to their capitals.

On Wednesday, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said that European countries should provide “heavy” part of funding For Ukraine.

Hele said that the UK has “heard a clear message from the US and we are and we are”, pointing to a new £ 150m package of military aid, including drones, tanks and air defense systems for Ukraine.
