Scotty Sheffoler says ‘stupid’ will not affect hand injury game

World number one Scotty Sheffeler is not worried that the “stupid” hand injury that he continues on Christmas day will have a negative effect on his game.
The 28 -year -old had the most successful year of his career in 2024, winning Masters, Players Championships and Olympic gold in Paris.
American needed surgery after cutting the palm of his right hand on a broken liquor glass.
The sheffieler has recovered from the operation and this week’s AT and T Pebble Beach Pro M is ready to play competitively this year for the first time.
Asked if he is concerned about the possible effects from surgery, he said: “Not at all.
“This is one of the deals where I was crazy in myself immediately after this happened because I was like ‘Gosh, it’s very stupid’, but you just don’t think about it when you are in a moment, “Masters Champion said twice.
“It was not really terrible, but I knew that I had messed up something, because the way my hand was not really moving forward and if I moved it, it hurts very badly. And so I knew that something was up.
Scheffler missed two incidents due to injury, but there is no plan to add any additional tournament to its calendar.
“It’s not fun to remember those two events; I enjoy playing them,” he said.
“Just because I missed two, I don’t want to change the flow and rhythm in my schedule. If I think I want to add one additional representative, I will do it.”
The Chefler abolished the joint-site of last year’s Pable Beach Pro-M, which had reduced to three rounds due to adverse weather.
American, which is combined with amateur David Abels, closes at 17:01 (GMT) in Spieglass Hill on Thursday.
