Can Tottenham save their campaign with cup success?

As well as the Europa League, Tottenham are also in the FA Cup with a 1-0 lead from the first leg over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-finals.

Victory at Hoffenheim means Tottenham’s victory at home to Elfsborg next week will likely see them through to the knockout stage.

The game comes just days before Spurs travel to Liverpool in the EFL Cup on February 6 and visit Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round three days later.

They have crucial league fixtures against Leicester, Brentford and Manchester United around the corner as they look to avoid falling below their current 15th place in the Premier League.

“These are massive weeks for the club,” Hargreaves said.

“It defined their season along with the FA Cup and the second leg of the League Cup.”

Former Tottenham striker Peter Crouch said: “They are one game away from the final.

“They are dominating there. If they get to the finals it’s a good season.”

Tottenham is now one of the favorites to win the Europa League.

With their chances of finishing in the top four slim, success in Europe’s second-tier competition is their best way of securing Champions League football next season.

“The Europa League has to make them a priority now,” Crouch said.

“I look at the teams and they are capable of beating any of them.”
