17,000 jobs will be available in Infosys’ Hyderabad campus.

Thousands of jobs will soon be available in Infosys, one of the big software companies. The expansion of the company’s Hyderabad campus in Telangana will generate 17,000 additional jobs. More than 35,000 workers work in this campus of the company located in Pocharam, Hyderabad. It is one of the largest campuses of the company in the country.

The announcement came after a meeting between Infosys CFO, Jayesh Sanghrajka, and Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. In this regard, a release issued by the state government said, “35,000 workers work in Infosys’ Pocharam campus. The extension plan of this campus will create 17,000 additional jobs.” Sanghrajka said, “Our partnership with the Government of Telangana reflects our shared vision to drive innovation, empower communities and strengthen the IT ecosystem.”

In the third quarter of the current financial year, the consolidated net profit of Infosys has increased by more than 11 percent to about Rs 6,806 crore. In the same quarter of the last financial year, the company’s net profit was approximately Rs 6,106 crore. Infosys’ revenue from operations increased by more than seven percent in the third quarter to about Rs 41,764 crore. The share of financial services and manufacturing verticals in this revenue was about 27.8 percent and about 15.5 percent. The company has achieved double digit growth on year-on-year basis in India and Europe. The growth for Infosys in North America is about five percent.

Infosys has raised its revenue guidance for the current financial year for the third consecutive quarter. The company is expected to see a growth of 4.5 percent to 5 percent in revenue in this financial year. In the last quarter, the company has added 5,591 new workers. The total number of workers of Infosys is 3,23,379. Last year, the company faced criticism for postponing the joining of new graduates. After this, Infosys had issued offer letters to these freshers. However, the company had said that it has not made any changes in its hiring plans.
