17-year-old boy rescued from floodwaters in Grimsby

A 17-year-old boy has been rescued after becoming trapped in floodwaters as more than 55 warnings are issued across Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.
Nearly 100 properties have been flooded in Lincolnshire, with warnings issued across the county from Brigg in North Lincolnshire to Market Deeping in South Kesteven.

In East Yorkshire, 17 flood warnings have been issued, including for Beilby, Pocklington, Leven, Routh and Meux and near the Upper Hull catchment.
About 25 roads are closed due to flooding, including the A1 between the B6326 near Newark-on-Trent and the B1174 near Grantham.
In a statement on Monday night, Lincolnshire Resilience Forum (LRF) said: “We are keeping a really close eye on this as it develops as we know there could potentially be more flooding, particularly in those areas Which may be affected by tide water.” ,
It also said emergency services were on standby in Greatford, near Stamford, to monitor the West Glen River, which was at risk of flooding 49 properties in the area.

The LRF said all roads leading to Edenham Primary School, near Bourne, were flooded after heavy rain and volunteer drivers in 4×4 vehicles pulled children to safety from the water.
